Fawn Mckay

Fawn McKay was born on 15 September 1915, in Ogden Utah. She was a member of the Mormon Church's very first family, Fawn McKay devoted her creative literary talents and remarkable researching skills in the creation of a amazing psycho-historical biographical biography of Joseph Smith, published in 1945 under the title The Only Man has My History. The title comes from the funeral sermon preached by the founder of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1844 when he startled those he addressed with the words"You don't even know me." and you've never known my heart. Nobody knows my past. I'm not able to tell my story. I wrote the 29-year old Fawn after that moment of candor at least three-score writers have taken up the gauntlet. Certain people have attempted to glorify him or godlike, while some have said he's untrue. Some even tried a clinical diagnosis. It's because there are no documents. They're just inconsistent. The task is to distinguish the original account from the plagiarism of third parties and to fit Mormons' narratives with non-Mormons in the context of a credible historical narrative. This is an exciting and educational experience. Fawn brodie was a professional dedicated to this task. Her research and writings brought her recognition around the globe: Thaddeus Stephens. The Devil drives (1959). Thomas Jefferson. A Personal History (1974) and posthumously Richard Nixon.
