Amal Clooney

Amal Clooney was born in Beirut, Lebanon. Her name comes from 'ml, `amal in Arabic that means "hope". Her age was two when her family relocated in Buckinghamshire from Lebanon in the Lebanese Civil War. Ramzi Alamuddin received his MBA at the American University of Beirut. Ramzi Alamuddin was a Lebanese Druze that was from Baakline village, a part of the Alam al-Din dynasty located in Chouf District. After the civil war ended in 1991[12]13] He returned to Lebanon. Her mother, Baria (nee Miknass), was born to a family of Sunni Muslims in Tripoli in Northern Lebanon,[14][11] and a Palestinian-Jordanian[15] mother. She was a reporter for political issues and editor in foreign for the Saudi-run newspaper al-Hayat. She founded the Public Relations firm International Communication Experts. This business is part of an even larger firm that is specialized in booking famous people as well as publicity photos as well as event promotion. Amal is the youngest of three children of one half-sister (Tala) along with two children from the father of Amal's previous marriage. Amal was a student at Dr Challoner High School (a girls' grammar school in Little Chalfont Buckinghamshire) before she went to university. She then attended St Hugh's College at Oxford which, in addition to she was awarded the Shrigley Award and an exhibition grant.
