Lars Mikkelsen-1Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen was born 6 May 1964. He has appeared as Troels Hartmann (Copenhagen mayoral candidate) in The Killing and [1] Charles Augustus Magnussen (third series of Sherlock) as well as the Russian president Viktor Petrov on Netflix's American House of Cards, and Grand Admiral Thrawn from Star Wars Rebels. In 2011, he won the Reumert Prize of Honour At 27 years old He enrolled in the National Theatre School of Denmark from which he graduated in 1995. He was also a part of The Killing's drama series. In the following years, he appeared in Borgen III and Those Who Kill Both of which were highly recognized Danish drama series. He also had a leading part in an episode of the BBC drama Sherlock as the blackmailer Charles Augustus Magnussen.In the American TV show House of Cards, he was the role of President Russia. In 2018, he won an International Emmy Award for his part in the Danish TV drama Herrensveje. It was aired in the UK as Ride Upon the Storm in the year 2019.
